During that time he moved house to Sherman Oaks, LA and had two children, Isaac, six, and Coco, three. ‘There were two major influences for me,’ Soren explains. ‘The house that we bought had a front yard with a snail problem, and my son, since he was barely old enough to talk, has been obsessed with cars and speed. So my living room was littered with toy cars and my yard overrun with snails. That got me thinking differently about the story. My main character was going to be a snail who is obsessed with speed.’
